You wouldn’t drive around an unfamiliar neighborhood or city without a map or some kind of GPS device. Not only could this result in confusion and frustration, but it could also result in more concrete, tangible consequences such as lost time, increased fuel costs, and undue wear and tear on your vehicle. To successfully navigate new areas, you need a powerful mapping system to get you where you need to go as fast and efficiently as possible.

Much the same can be said for why travel companies need a powerful, integrated travel booking system. Because the travel industry is  built on responding to disruptions (inclement weather, environmental events, or other delays and cancellations), travel companies must be agile enough to handle these and other temporary breakdowns in calculated, efficient ways to retain customers and continue operations in as normal a way as possible.

• The new option available is visible in the book page - after a reservation is created - and allows the user to the possibility to book  complementary services
• It works very simple: let's assume a hotel reservation; once a booking is made, the system displays to the user the suggestion that you can see in the image below. The services suggested depend on the services that are active in that TBS. If one of the services is selected, a new search page opens - in that page, TBS will auto-complete the search data used for the original service.

Resellers - flight searches and reservations counter

A new section was developed in the 'Resellers' module - 'Search counter'.

The section displays the total number of flight searches and reservations made by the reseller and offers the admin filter options based on the flight provider (all or specific) and time period (daily and monthly).

Flights - display message in book page when status is different than HK

New quality control feature that optimizes the search and book time of the travel agents:

For the flight reservations which have at least one segment with status different than HK, a message is displayed in the booking page: 'Please check the segments status. Ticket issuance might not be possible or might lead to accepting schedule change.'

NEW PAYMENT GATEWAY - CyberSource for BLOM Bank 

A new payment gateway was implemented in TBS - BLOM Bank CyberSouce payment.

Currency Mapper - Totalstay

A currency mapper was added for TotalStay supplier allowing the admin to set currency per destination, thus for specific destinations the offer received can be in the desired currency.

A new payment gateway was implemented in TBS : Pireus Bank - ePos PayCenter.

JAC TRAVEL & TRAVCO - multithread and partial results processing

Multithreading option and partial results processing were implemented for Jac Travel and Travco suppliers. This implies that concomitant requests are sent to the supplier while making a search, allowing the application to populate the search page with results as soon as they are received from the supplier, without waiting for the full response. While enabling this option consumes more server resources, it actually decreases the response time, especially on big destinations.

Transfers - service: if price increases, display warning

For the Transfer service, in case the price increases between any of the steps of the booking process, a warning will be displayed, advising the old price and the new price of the offer.

RESELLER agent profile – added search default section preference

We have added a new feature that optimizes the time spent by the agents while searching for the travel services. In the reseller interface, in the "Personal profile" section, a new option was created, which allows the user to set a preferred default search section. Thus, the "Search Hotels" page can be automatically opened when clicking on the "Search" button, if this was the preferred option.
