Configurability
Our vision is that even if each travel agency, from a very simple point of view, is doing the same thing (providing customers with travel services) the methods and procedures used are, at least at some level, unique and specific. In this respect TINA gives full control to the system administrator in order to configure any aspect inside the application (workflow, user access rights, service list, VAT calculations, document templates, report templates, export and import rules, etc.). In order to make things easier, our support department is always ready to assist our clients in configuring the application.
Basic workflow
As a general basic workflow (considering here only the core of TINA), the application is able to provide the user with the necessary tools in order for him to perform the following tasks:
- Registering the client’s requests
- Processing client’s requests by making price offers
- Notifying the client about the offers by using several communication channels (corporate extranet, email, fax, prints, phone, etc); keep in mind that documents generation is managed automatically by the application
- Requesting some services or price quotations from suppliers; an important feature in this respect is the possibility to automatically import information from third party systems or from the travel agency own inventory solution
- Confirming inside the application the choice of the client as well as the service that the supplier is ready to offer.
- Issuing travel and financial documents
- Managing supplier invoices as well as settlements between client and supplier invoices
- Additional tools are also available for the travel agent: full management of client profiles (due dates, contracts, preferences, service fee and discount policies, debits, deposits, credit limits, etc), full management of the supplier profile as well as products and services portfolio, calendar, task management, sales force automation, CRM, etc.
Because of the web based concept, all the work inside the application happens in real time. While the agent inside one office is just (apparently) performing his day to day tasks inside TINA, the management team is able to get real time reports regarding sales, estimated and real income, estimate and real cash flow, estimated and real profit, etc.
In case some of the offices of the travel agency are very busy, there is no need to relocate some agents as the real time environment of TINA allows for easy work balancing between different offices.
