This direct connection to Lufthansa Inventory via dcs plus' technology unlocks the possibility for travel agencies to search and book flight services, as well as ancillary services, simultaneously through all distribution channels of Lufthansa Group. Moreover, besides the direct access to the exclusive portfolio of the Group's Airlines (products, services, information - timetables, fares availability and additional services) the travel agencies will benefit from state-of-the-art technology.

The new feature can be used for all sales channels included inside the dcs plus technology: internal usage, B2B reseller partners, B2C online sales. Moreover, all the sales channels will be able to access the full inventory of the Airline Group, including the new European Fare Structures introduced earlier this year: Light, Classic, Flex, and Business. 

dcs plus technology is able to offer bookings of Lufthansa Group services from both Global Distribution Systems as well as direct connect option. This flexibility provides clients with the freedom to choose their best travel option and use customary booking, payment and ticket issuance processes without any additional transaction fee to the travel agency.  In case the booking is made through Lufthansa Direct Connect, the Distribution Cost Charge will not apply.
